Guided imagery is a form of guided self-hypnosis, where Dr. Jones facilitates a mental journey to your safe place. Guided imagery is a useful form of meditation for many mental or physical health issues. Guided imagery may be used to prepare yourself for anxiety producing/stressful event, such as a presentation in front of a group of people, participation in a sports event or receiving chemotherapy or other medical procedure. Guided imagery may be used for a multitude of reasons, with the goal being acceptance and the ability to face fears.
